Margo Villandry

Margo's background in design began at a very young age when she accompanied her parents to flea markets, auctions, yard sales... places where the potential existed to discover a unique find whose story spoke to her. As an adult, Margo developed and honed her own craft for story telling by creating branded retail environments for a number of internationally recognized brands. Fueled by the success of her retail career, Margo opted to pursue her passion for design full time and acquired her interior design degree from Parsons The New School for Design in New York City.

After working + being immersed in New York City’s design world for six years, and armed with the necessary technical skills to tackle projects of her own, Margo returned to her native New England in 2014 and launched her own interior design firm.

The design philosophy at Atelier Margo Villandry is to create interiors that tell a story, stand the test of time and translate the emotional experiences of warmth, intimacy and shared good times into physical form. Although Margo’s approach may change from project to project in order to cater to location of place and personality of owner, the hallmark of any Atelier Margo Villandry designed space remains constant and can be summarized best by this favorite client quote, "Now, why didn't I just think of that?!".
